Norman Vincent one's said, "Do not believe in defeat" and I taught he was being a swagger not knowing it was a state of victory.
"The greatest achievement is the achievements over doubts' Today I have come to accommodate and understand this credence. Anthropologists have noted that, most influential and successful men we see encountered what Rev. Benson I. called "A KNOCKING DOWN FOR A LIFTING UP".
The diminutive experience I had with the lives of Opanin Kwabena Sarpong, Domfeh Emmanuel- sir noble, Reindorf Desmond Hortor, Dr. Owusu Sekyere Ebenezer-Turbo and many others have changed my psychological makeup about infinitesimal opportunities that set a pace for our skyrocketing. They made it to this far because they refuse to be disheartened by their defeats.
My dear brethren reading, I want to remind you one of Orison Swett Marden's sayings'. "No, there is no failure for the man who realizes his power, who never knows when he is beaten, there is no failure for the determined endeavor; the unconquerable will. There is no failure for the man who gets up every time he falls, who rebounds like a rubber ball, who persists when everyone else' gives up, who pushes on when everyone else turns back".
The president elect his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo was defeated two times but has never given up on his mission, he learned from his failure and work on them and today he is the president of the fourth republic of Ghana.
The road to success is always dotted with all kinds of failures but it takes a personal desire in making change to forge forward.
Don't forget this, “THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IS INBUILT"-Broda Francis.
In one of my social research work, I happened to meet a lady who was repeated level 100 last two years ago. She downplayed herself far beneath the cores of the earth. Through our conversation, I got to realize she was a business lady with two stores before coming to campus. And I recalled how I nearly collapsed a transfer and credit business after SHS. Hmmm, I said to her you are a great and wonderful lady. After explaining to her she smiled and said: "maybe business is not your field that's why!”
Jokingly, I also said to her if you are repeated it might be that university learning is not your field too. Not to say that she should accept defeat, but should know her weakness and capitalize on that.
Mike Murdock said, "A true winner will never advertise nor magnify his personal weaknesses".
Change the way you look at things.
In your destiny fulfillment remember God doesn't visit your past failures, How many times have you failed?
Dr. Ben Carson became the best Neurosurgeon in the world in 1987 yet he struggled academically throughout elementary school. Bill Gates did not complete his university education but is one of the world’s richest men if not the first. Joseph went to prison because he succumbed not his vision and values yet became a prime minister. Don't lose hope it is well.
Remember this, "FAILING AGAIN SHOULDN'T DETER YOU FROM TRYIN AGAIN"-Broda Francis.
I was speechless yesterday’s night after reading Opanin Kwabena Sarpong's articles and I wasn't surprised after identifying his impacts in different arenas. He is a member of Alumnus of Ghana Exchange Programme School, Member of Global Compact, and Ambassador for 5 Star International Foundation Inc. USA. Voted best morning shows host for Ultimate Radio in Wa.
He climbed to be the honorable position in terms of student leadership affairs to be the Speaker of Youth Parliament. Former Administrator and Volunteer with YPES Ghana. Aside from all these fellowships, he added to his vestige Author of Forklift. He established the youthful human empowerment organization- Black heritage (CEO), Currently a Teaching Assistant at UDS WA Campus.
As I identified these impacts I had a flashback in the year 2009 September in JHS, when one Friday morning my father went to my school and asked of my repetition to JHS 2 again!!.
It was a big blow in my social relationship and academics but after everything, I became the senior boys’ prefect whose impact has become a legacy after 6years of completion.
My dear, many of life's failures are just people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up as Thomas Edison put it.
It's not too late to start over. Learn and make the change.
Failure Is Success If We Learn From It
Make the change you expected NOW!!!
