Ecobank in collaboration with MTN Mobile Money has announced a new initiative that they have both come out with to help mobile subscribers specifically MTN mobile users.
The Executive Director for ECOBANK Capital advisers, Rita Aba Tsegah told Starr Business “the initiative will be a game changer”.
This is a great opportunity that everyone who is looking for a risk-free investment should take and never make it pass him or her.
She also added that “Using their phones, individuals can now invest in the Government of Ghana Treasury bills anytime, anywhere and with as little as five Ghana Cedis. Ecobank T-bills for all have the added benefit of providing financial inclusion and convenience”.
But the question most of the people who are interested in this initiative always ask is how I do go about this initiative? Because of this, today I am here to show you how to activate your account and the procedures to follow in order to be able to undertake this investment. So follow the steps below if you are interested in this new initiative.
1. Make sure you are using an MTN SIM card and the SIM is activated with mobile money service. If you are not activated or you don’t have the mobile money services activated on your phone, then make sure to go to any nearest MTN services care center to have your SIM activated.
2. Now load your account with at least GH5.00 and then dial this code *770#.
3. Enter your full name
4. Enter next of kin full name
5. Enter next of kin contact
6. An SMS will be received confirming a successful registration.
Now that you have successfully registered for this service, to make an Invest follow the steps below
1. Dial *770#
2. Select apply
3. Select tenure (91/182)
4. Select Amount
5. Confirm next of kin contact
6. Confirm transaction on the prompt
7. Enter your Mobile Money PIN to Validate the transaction
8. Now you will receive an SMS confirming a successful transaction
That’s all you can now sit and wait whenever your investment is mature, you will be notified and your account will be credited. Note, the service allows customers to terminate their investments before maturity. So whenever you feel like terminating your investment you can do that before the maturity date.
